This should be done reporting to the chromium project http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/entry

This we should wait for polo.

Okay so I have the link now but what do I put in to it and how exactly would this help? Sorry I just have no idea how this works.

My questions were answered. I made the report but I'm not sure if I did it right. I made the report under security issue since apparently this change was for security reasons or something. and I posted this

Quote:
Hello there, and thanks for caring about Chrome Security!

The purpose of this review is to discuss questions or concerns you have
related to security and get a second pair of eyes to assess security-
relevant changes this feature introduces. This will serve as a document
trail of any resulting discussion and decisions.

If this is a server side feature, file for a review with the infrastructure
security team (http://goto/security-review). Please include a link to your
finished and any previous questionnaire(s).

To help us get started, please answer the following questions, where
relevant.

== Contact ==
Who to credit, blame, or seek out for help.

Feature Eng owner:Google
Feature PM owner:Google

Permissions?
4. [Android and iOS] Does your feature change the meaning or visibility of
any security-relevant UI gestures or elements such as the Omnibox, Android
Back button, iOS and Android notifications bar? Does your feature introduce
any new security-relevant gestures or UI elements?
5. [Android] Does your feature necessitate any modifications to the Android
sandboxing model? (E.g. new de-privileged worker or plugin processes to
handle multi-media, new broker processes for workers to get specific
privileges to browser process resources, increase in the # of renderer
Service processes, et c.) Be aware that this is an area where performance
tuning and safety engineering must work closely together, because Android
processes are not free but are necessary for safety/stability.
6. [Android, future] Does your feature call any new kernel system calls
that the current Seccomp-BPF sandbox policy does not allow? (The Seccomp-
BPF policy filters what system calls renderer Service processes can call;
the browser process is not sandboxed with Seccomp-BPF. Also, Seccomp-BPF is
not being used as of May 2013, but expect it to be in the future.)

==Apps/Extensions specific==
1. Is your feature specific to extensions, apps or both?Yes
2. Does your feature introduce any new extension permissions?Yes
3. Is the feature tied to a UI surface (browser action, use gesture etc)?
Is there a UI indication for the user to understand that the feature is
running?Yes
4. Does the feature run on internal chrome:// pages?NO

I didn't see a place for this so I'll add it here. I don't approve of google blocking any extensions that aren't in the store. It limits peoples ability to customize and use the extensions they want. I understand the need for security but limiting the users own freedom to do so isn't acceptable

Okay this is weird. I have the Dex and Canary versions on my computer. I have AMR installed on both. I noticed AMR was missing on both of them. Concerned I decided to try reinstalling them again and not only did they reinstall just fine but they still had my manga list, my setting, and even my stats. Does this have anything to do with the extension blocking thing or did I just happen to run into a glitch of some kind?

Chrome has just implemented the block for all extensions that are not installed from the Webstore in the recent update. Everytime you closes chrome browser, it will disable AMR and it cannot be re-enabled. Reinstalling will not help either.

Looks like AMR will no longer function on the new version of Chrome unless AMR will be available on the webstore.

Here is the news regarding the block:
